Holistic Veterinary Medicine

Everyone is starting to understand what “Holistic” (please place this font in my pretty logo font) Veterinary Medicine is. Therefore, I do not need to explain this, only to indicate which modalities I have elected to be trained in, thus far. The road to learning ALL aspects of Holistic Medicine, is a journey, one that may take 10 years to complete. It is a learning and experiencing process.

My avenues of Holistic Medicine, to date, include:

V.O.M. Chiropractic adjustments with ACTIVATORS, please take the time to review the difference in Chiropractic techniques in this site. Then make your choice. I have been practicing this for almost 2 years.

The study of HOMOTOXICOLOGY (combinations of the classical HOMEOPATHY that come in ONE remedy to solve a problem, rather that multiple vials). I have been practicing this for one and a half years.

Qi Gong energy work. Allows movement of meridians to re-align and heal different systems, internally. Bring them back to a homeostasis (or back to what we call SET POINT). This state of homeostasis can not be permanent do to the ever-changing physical events that insult your pet's body, but it can start the flow to normalcy and healing. Then, it is with herbs or homotoxicology that I can try and restore this set point.

  • I have been practicing Reiki for 7 years.
  • I have experience in massage for 27 years, but not working exlusively on animals.
  • I have been practicing the Tellington Touch for 27 years.
  • As I am not formally trained in Acupuncture or Herbology at this time, yet I want to offer these options to my patients.
  • I also, want to be there during the treatment plan, etc.

Therefore, I have decided to merge the two possibilities by partnering together with a human acupuncture and herbalist. We work together to formulate a plan for your pet. I have you meet at her location for the initial physical exam. Gathering a history and then we all discuss the best initial plan to start for your pet. This plan changes according to results. It is all very fluid and we remain open to tweaking the plan as your pets body responds to our treatment plan.

Holistic Medicine starts with the history to be able to hear the whole story of the course of disease or symptoms. I spend a great deal of time in the beginning to hear what other avenues of treatment plans, nutrition history, etc has been followed. Then, I take the time in hours to research the BEST forward plan for your pet. WHAT PLAN IS BEST FOR YOUR PET IS AN INDIVIDUAL, UNIQUE PLAN. This comes to me from listening to the history, looking at the present and ultimately, what plan of action to make the future.

I can not place in the written word, all that is in my years of training in veterinary schooling, veterinary experience and knowledge from other veterinarians and learning along the way. This is all inside me and must come out different for each of my patients. This is the nature of true veterinary medicine that veterinarians already practice. I just meld it together with ancient wisdom from the past whether it is Eastern Herbs (Japanese/Chinese/Indian), Reiki, Western (Native American) Herbs, Essential Oils, Bach Flower Remedies, Biofeedback, oxygen therapy, laser therapy, etc, etc, etc.

All of these mentioned modalities in this paragraph, I am learning and do not profess to be an expert, in any way. I refer to practitioners who are more knowledgeable than I when trying to come up with the unique plan to help your animal maintain a more healthy state. Plus, I count on you, the owner, to use your powers of observation of your pet and their tendencies to help me devise the best plan for them.
